Biography -
An IT professional from one of India's leading IT company turned into a Natural
history photographer just to follow his childhood passion. Sagar started his
passion with the fascination for birds, birdwatching and bird photography.
Sagar is now documenting the Indian natural history from past 20 years.
Photographing rare natural history moments from the farthest and remotest
corners of India, Sagar has specialised in the geographies of Arunachal Pradesh
and Trans Himalayas. He has photographed more than 800 species of birds which includes many rare species found in the untouched and unexplored parts of India. He has led more than 600 such photo tours, workshops and expeditions which helped many beginner and amateur photographers to develop their skills in wildlife photography and take it to the next level. He has mentored more than 800 such individual photographers through such engagements.
"Knowledge gets its true meaning only when shared and Inspiration gets its true meaning only when passed up on." , says Sagar who has inspired many individuals from different work culture to follow their passion and to take up photography as a career.
Sagar's work speak about his abilities to explore wildlife in the toughest conditions and terrain. He has recently successfully photographed world's most illusive cat, a Snow Leopard at an altitude of 15800 ft in the Trans Himalayan mountains with the closest encounter with this magnificent creature ever in the wild. Now he is leading specialised Snow Leopard Photography Expedition in the upper Himalayas from past 9 years.
In his initiative called SGP(www.sgpventures.in), Sagar is organising Expeditions and Photo Tours which are designed to help photographers to Learn, Explore and Experience the best in the wild.
